Searching For A Poem
Ok...I was supposed to be playing "catch up" tonight, but instead, I was spending all night looking for some kind of poetry online. I have photos of my grandfather and brother that I wanted to put into my Cherished Memories wall...and I was looking for a nice poem to match. One photo is of my brother and grandfather walking down a tree-lined dirt road, taken from behind so you see them from the back. The other is of my grandfather with my brother on his knee, and the other two are one each of my grandfather and my brother alone. All were taken in the same day and at about the same time. I only found two things... This: "The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched. They must be felt with the heart." -Helen Keller Or this...though it is beautiful, it is too religious for me: A heart of gold stopped beating, two shining eyes at rest, God broke our hearts to prove, He only takes the best. God knows you had to leave us, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day He took you home. To some you are forgotten, to others just part of the past, but to us who loved and lost you, the memory will always last. Anonymous
I am leaning towards the Helen Keller Quote...it's less depressing and more appropriate (I think). While looking for quotes, I was on soooo many depressing sites.
