Apprehension!
Tomorrow starts my first week...with customers...without Browneye.
I wish Browneye didn't have to work his job so he could be with me instead.
I have The Kid...and believe me, The Kid is a good one to have. I have been paying him too little than what he's been worth to me, but at this point, I cannot afford to pay him more. Maybe in a few months.
It's weird being the boss. I'm not used to people asking me questions and looking at me, waiting for me to say something intelligent. Usually, I can scare up something, but it still feels weird.
But...I made a sale today! Granted, it was the contractor and his wife, but it was still a sale! Yippee!
I also had a guy come in to check us out, claiming he was an attorney who wanted stuff for his office. He seemed a bit weird as he didn't have a business card with him and said he would be back next week. He didn't look like the typical lawyer, although lawyers tend to be weird anyway...I knew one guy who used to grow a beard and ride a Harley during his vacations. The rest of the time, he looked like a mafioso.
Pray I can get through this day...hopefully if I get stuck, I can grab The Kid for a second opinion. I know I will be good at this when I get some practice.
