concussion city
I have a concussion.

I was in my shop and I bent down to get something from a box on a floor and on the way back up I gave myself a good, sound crack.

Ouch...

I had to go for a CAT scan...no serious damage, but I'm going to have some slight brain damage action going for the next week or two.

Oh joy.

My short term memory is temprarily shot.

The only thing I hate about this whole concussion deal is that I get fired up and angry about something...get ready to throw a tirade, then 2 minutes later, I forget what it's all about...

Um...yeah.

First of all...I'm sick of people coming into my store assuming that I will give it to them "cheap".

No, I will not.

What gives you the right to think that only you have the right to make money and no one else should?

Perhaps, the next time you come into my establishment asking for something for nothing, I will call out one of my employees and have you ask her if she would be willing to work on your pathetic shit for free for an hour. Then, we can call the landlord and the utilities and see if they can give my establishment a break because you want your shit for free. The next time you badger one of my employees or me, I have a good mind to tell you that every time you nickel and dime someone for a better deal, you are doing the equivilent of your boss (or your partner's boss if you don't work) coming up to you and slashing your pay by X%.

I do not take it personally if you choose not to use my services. I do not care if you take your stuff to someone else instead. In fact, if you want to nickel and dime me, I prefer you take your business somewhere else.

But, please! Have some decorum!

You certainly do not make a good impression of yourself if you leave in a huff, declaring that you have 100 other pieces of your little crumbgrinder's art to be framed (other than the two you just showed me that you wanted framed for next to nothing)...and expecting me to feel bad. What makes you think that if I didn't want to lose money on one piece that I would want to lose even more on 100? NOT.

We will, however, work with you on a design that is within your budget...and if it is still not within your price range, we will understand.

If you walk into my store and you see that it looks like a gallery, you should assume that you are not going to be paying Walmart prices.

What you'll be paying is a fair price for custom work.

The operative word is CUSTOM. Backed by a 30 day 100% design guarantee and a lifetime workmanship guarantee. We buy the raw materials and everything is custom cut...the glass, the mats, the moulding. Everything. We don't just "stick it in a frame."

It's a good thing most of the people that come into my shop are not this rude. However, today we got two wackos...
