My weather pixie is half nekkid, but at least she is carrying an umbrella...I wanna see her in that slinky, funky outfit that she wore around 10/7 or so. It was a lime green... Woot! Woot!

This is it...tomorrow is my last day at F.U.P.

Damn...I want to be totally radical and park in a vistor's spot.

I have so much to do tomorrow too. I have to drop in on so many people to say goodbye. I need to pack up the rest of my things. I will take a picture of my desk as it was. I'll empty out the rest of my drawers and pull the pictures out from under the glass top on my desk. I might have to show up at 9 tomorrow to get everything done.

Pretty soon, it will look as if I had never been there.

Wonder what it will be like for them on Monday morning when I am not there?

The two guys who sit behind me have sworn that they will install a wet bar and ice cream stand, complete with multi-colored awning where my desk used to be.

A really nice surprise...I got a phone call from an old timer that retired in the mid-90's...I think in 1996...he found out I was leaving and called to wish me well :-)

Tonight, some folks from the office took me and Browneye out for dinner...it was a rainy night and we got there late...there were about 15 of us. We had a great time...and there were many well wishes. I thought about when I started in 1989 and how in some ways it seems so long ago and in other ways it seems like just yesterday. When I started to work there, I thought that I would stay there til I retired. Sort of. The other part of me figured I would be there 3 years ago...part of me still says I am stupid...I have my pension and I was vested.

Dang.

Oh...and tomorrow, I need to call to find if my sign was approved. Probably another glitch somewhere's.

Also...I couldn't find my contractor...all day today. That's highly unusual. Maybe the piles and piles of boards that were delivered the other day that will eventually become my fixtures created an avalanche. I'll drop by the store on Saturday to see him buried beneath it all and just see his two feet sticking out under a pile of rubble.

Now *that's* a scary thought.

An interviewing people...that's interesting...
