really hate this.
My journal is turning into one big bitch session.
When it rains, it pours.
Browneye was laid off a few weeks ago and given paper work to review and sign in order for him to receive severence. We went to an attorney who is negotiating some of the finer points with Browneye's former company. Browneye has 45 days to sign the agreement. One of the things in the agreement was that he would have health care for 90 days after separation from the company. He is still within the time limits of when he needs to sign. There was nothing in that paperwork that said health care wouldn't be provided until he signed it. The lawyer made it clear that Browneye was not rejecting the agreement in his correspondence to his former employer.
Well...today, he went to renew 2 prescriptions and he was told his card was not valid. Since he needed those prescriptions anyway, he paid the nearly $400 for them. We're going to talk with the lawyer on Monday. Browneye hasn't even received his COBRA papers yet. I'm hoping it was just a computer error (someone took him off the plain by accident) because if it isn't we are fucked. Especially since we had that who ER fiasco last week and several doctor's appointments regarding it. Especially since I found out I wasn't bleeding internally...but who knew at the time.
I was going to schedule a coochie doc appointment...but I will wait on that now to see what transpires. I was hoping to go before the insurance ran out and we had to go on COBRA.
We have to figure out what to do...I don't need money issues pressing now. It doesn't help that we spent $60 on a dinner tonight at a local restaurant tnat opened 2 blocks away from us. It's a cool place with yummy food. I can't believe it is in the same spot that this nasty dive of a deli was. The little neck clams were good though...and our waiter had a cool Irish brogue.
