Manilow In The Round
Ok...I'm feeling a bit wary.

I'm running my Norton now to scan for any viruses and plan to do my weekly maintenance now (defrag, SpyBot, etc.).

My computer (almost) crashed. All of a sudden, my taskbar becgan to look weird (like double, triple, but plain with no icons) and I could not drop my windows or pick them back up. Then, my whole screen froze and I had to shut the damn thing completely off. When I started it again, it got to the Windows ME logo and just froze, so I had to shut and restart again, and it would only start in "safe" mode. The screen looked weird and I had never seen that before in my life. I was at least able to "legally" shut my machine down and restart it regular. It appears to be behaving, but meanwhile...wtf? Now I'm afraid to drop/pick up windows.

Went to see Barry Manilow last night...surprise, surprise, I only bought tickets for one show as the time that they went on sale, I had so much shit going down and I honestly thought that my store would be open. Had I known, I would have bought tix for the garden and philly, but I only got tickets for NJ.

Had I known I was gonna have such great seats, I would have brought my digital camera with me (Barry allows photography). Y and I were escorted to our *first* row seats!!! OMG!!! The only thing was that the concert was "in the round" and the stage was high, but still...I have had second row, but this is the first time with first row. In a huge arena yet.

This was his best show ever. I don't know how he does it, but he gets better and better as he goes on. To check out his new album, go to manilowscores.com. I'm almost sorry I won't see him more this tour, but it is for the best. The tickets are so high and I will be in Dallas for the 2 shows I will be considering.

I need a break...

Chapter 2 of the saga continues. I thought I had the electric set up. The tech came to look at the meter, and I was told it was turned on and ok.

Well...the contractor called me and it is *not* ok. there was no power today. We have to start from scratch with the electric company as it appears that nothing ever happened, nor is there a trace of anything happening. No work order, nothing. I hope this is not a long, drawn out affair.

I just had a weird feeling. I should listen to them more often. I would save myself a lot of grief.
