9:29 p.m. - 2004-11-29 I was feeling guilty about loving being home, but Snowtiger8 (LJ) put it all into perspective..."The time off enjoying life is like a precious gem that's on loan. You get to touch it, experience it, live with it for a while and then POOF! it's gone. No reason not to be sorry that it's gone." I decided to sleep in...I didn't get up til after 10 - on purpose. Tomorrow I will sleep late, but not as late as I have to bring Spencer to the vet at 10:30. Then I have to go to EZpass to get a tag for the "new" car...make a few phone calls. An easy day...I'll have dinner ready for Browneye as he comes in, so we can eat and run to Ikea together...we need one piece of furniture that wasn't in the store order for some reason. I'm trying to decide about music for the store as well. I have a couple of choices...contrary to popular belief, I cannot just play the radio or my own personal CD's, as technically we would have to pay royalties if we did that. ASCAP or BMI could come in and randomly check and withmy luck they will. Sooo....I could have a system that, say Starbucks has, where they buy CD's from a service and sell them (the CD that is being played is also being sold). http://sugomusic.com is one such vendor. The CD's listed are $17.99 on the site, but I think they are $7.98 or $8.98 for me to buy. Or...I could go satelite radio...such as http://www.sirius.com. They have a package for businesses that are $25 per month and that includes royalties. Suggestions?
